Boycott US Goods

Is it even doable? Let's not joke ourselves. The Israel attacks on Palestine has caused an uproar in Malaysia. Dr. Mahathir wants people to boycott goods from United States. The Muslim community is angered and is looking to heed Dr. Mahathir's words. I would like them to ponder a few questions before telling everyone they are boycotting United States products.

In the Israel-Palestine crisis, I am not taking sides. I think the interference from other countries into their crisis has not helped at all. They don't like solving it themselves. Interference from outside countries definitely is not helping. How will the crisis be solved? It's been decades long and I am definitely not the man with the answers. If I have it, I would have shared it and win a noble prize!

The Malaysian Muslims are planning to boycott goods from the United States as a protest to the Israel attacks and support from the United States government. I really think this is not possible. If you can say NO to all the questions below, then maybe you will be the person to really boycott United States products.

Will you be staying away from KFC forever (where 90% of the time is filled with Muslims)?

Will you stop eating McD for good (Ramli Burger going rich)?

Will you stop wearing and purchasing merchandise from Nike even the pirated ones (Bata supporter from now on)?

Will you stop going for Hollywood movies (sure you not going to watch Transformer 2)?

Will you stop watching HBO, CNN, Hallmark, Discovery, National Geography, etc in Astro (the come back for RTM)?

Will you stop driving a Ford or Chervolet if you have one (selling it for a Perdana)?

Will you stop using your Dell computer or laptop (Toshiba anyone)?

Will you stop using Windows softwares (Ubuntu maybe)?

Will you give up Mac products (there goes the iPod, iPhone, G4)?

Can't do that all? Then we can't boycott United States product, period. Let's stop trying to be a hero. We discriminate our own people and we have prejudice among each other. We would fight among each other. Who are we to fight for others? And for God's sake, be realistic and stop threatening to boycott United States products. Before you really achieve it, you would die of trying! May more prayers be done to bring peace to Israel and Palestine and the entire world!!!
